I had a nice little hair project in mind and ran to Sally's to grab the things I needed. I got a jar of 30 volume cream developer and a packet of lightening bleach powder.

I also grabbed some Beyond the Zone Color Jamz in Bubble Head Pink and Not So Shy Violet. These are semi permanent hair colors. Basically rinsed. They are really vivid, bright colors.

I can't wait to see what the final style is going to look like!

I really like the Big Bounce shadow and will probably get more. I thought it was a paint pot but when I got home I freaked out until I tried it. It's really not bad at all.

The Revlon colorstains are really good. They go on the same color as the tube.

E.L.F. HAUL

So ELF had a little sale a few days ago. I'm all for a good sale, so I picked up a few things. I like ELF because they are extremely affordable and most of the products aren't half bad. I have a few ELF foundation brushes and have tried their lashes which are very good quality considering the price.

Everyone needs a little ELF in their kit.

I have not tried their makeup though, and when I saw this palette I had to at least try it. I have tried those palettes that we see everywhere that are not very good. People rave about them because of how pigmented they are and how many colors you get, but in reality they are extremely powdery and wear off very quickly.

I grabbed this one thinking, "hey, it couldn't be any worse."

I am very happy with this purchase. Many of the reviews say that quite a few of the shadows have no pay off and I swatched as many as I could trying to find one that looked like it would be crap. I have to say that I did not find one that was not good!

They all swatched very well and that Red! OMG! There is never a good red on these types of palettes but this one takes the cake! It's awesome! Vibrant and a true red!

I am very pleased so far.

I also grabbed a few lashes and some HD powder. I can honestly say I do not feel the difference between this and the MUFE HD powder.

All in all, I'm going to have to grab a few more things from ELF very soon and I hope you do too! This entire package came up to less than $30!!! You can't beat that!!

Now I need to decide what I really want from the Sephora friends and family sale... ;)

Another Hair Care Haul

Because I'm so obsessed with hair care & styling I went to 2 beauty supply stores and picked up a few more things.

I got a bunch of magnetic rollers in different sizes from small to large. As well as clips to hold them in place.

Grabed a shower cape and satin scarf, just because. Two large jars of hair gel to use for smoothing ponytails & wash & goes. Two more combs. The purple one I use when flatironing. It makes sure the hair comes out very smooth.

I then found a great set of tools used when coloring the hair, so I had to grab that. And some ApHogee reconstructor and 2 step protein treatment.

Finally I picked up some hair for my next few styles. Some Kanekalon Marley braid hair for kinky twists, as well as a drawstring ponytail by Outre.

Hair Care Haul - Marshalls

I made a trip to Marshalls to pick up a few things that I wanted but didn't necessarily need. Marshalls is a great place to shop because they have great products at low prices. Walking into the store I knew what I wanted to get but I cant seem to keep to my list because I always see other things that I want to get.

Here's what I got:

A Revlon Blow Dryer with attachments

A Jilbre 1 1/2" ceramic flat iron and a 1/2" Chi ceramic flat iron.

A few round brushes (Boar bristle of course) and a paddle brush.

As I was passing through the store I came across the kitchenware & glassware section where I grabbed a few more things.

I completely fell in love with theses platters that were on display.

This one looks like a flower petal. I love it!

I love the color on this one. Its so pretty!

And this one. The pictures do not do it justice. Its a sparkly bronze, gold and silver. Very beautiful.

All and all I had a great shopping trip which did not break the bank. If I were to buy any of these items at their original retail value they would just about equal the cost of what I paid total for everything.

Nail of the Night

I did my nails the other day and i totally love them.

I used 2 Essie polishes from my recent trip to the drugstore and a glittery NYC polish in Starry Silver Glitter.

The glitter polish is lovely. It has small silver glitters with big blue and pink chunks. When I saw it I had to have it, bonus that it was only a dollar!

I put one color down and let it dry then i added the second color, dotting it over the top and I then took a toothpick and kind of marbled the color to get the effect shown.

The pic was taken on the 3rd day of wear. Pretty good.

Drugstore Haul

So I was browsing through a nearby Rite Aid and because of my recent mishap at the nail shop I decided I was long over due for some new nail care supplies.

The drugstores in NYC are great as far as their selection in beauty products. They had a very nice range of Essie nail polishes. Since I didn't own any myself I decided to grab a few, among other things.

Heres what I got.

Sally's Hard as Wraps Nail Hardener, Nutra Nail Thickener, Essie Nail colors in Dive Bar & Beach Bum Blu, Sally's Insta-dri top coat, and Brucci Acrylic top coat.

The lighter blue is Beach Bum Blu and it reminds me of my favorite China Glaze color Adore. I love it! And the darker color is called Dive Bar. It is a really dark navy with blue, green, and purple shimmers. Love! <3

Wet and Wild eyeshadows and Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black mascara.
The palette is called greed and the colors are great for a neutral smokey eye. The top single shadow is called Nutty and the bottom is called penny. They are great compliments to the palette.

Review - MAC Pro Longwear Foundation

I was browsing through Mac a while back in need of a new foundation when I came across the Pro Longwear. I decided why not try it because I could always return it if I hated it. I also grabbed the Pro Longwear concealer.

My shade in MAC foundation is usually NC45.

For the concealer I always get the same shade. I don't know why people insist that your concealer should be a shade or 2 lighter than your skin tone. If you want to conceal something then the concealer should be the same color as your foundation or skin, other wise you are going to have light spots all over your face.

Not a good look in my opinion.

I did however get a lighter shade for the concealer because I wanted to specifically use it under my eyes to brighten my face. Plus I already have enough concealers in NC45... So I got the Pro Longwear in NC43.

From the very first time I used it I was in love. It provided great coverage and it really lasted all day long.

I do have very acne prone skin but it didn't seem to break me out. But then again I don't wear foundation everyday and I have more hormonal acne.

It gave really good coverage with 2 pumps but it can tend to go on streaky so be sure to blend, blend, blend!!

I started off using a regular foundation brush to apply but found I was using more product than necessary. I then moved to a duo fiber brush which I found was not dense enough so I am now using a dense fluffy brush from Eco Tools to apply. A good Kabuki would work well also.

Since I began applying this way I found I am using much less product, which is great because I absolutely HATE the feeling of heavy makeup and I don't like feeling like I am applying a product for no reason if the coverage was not good enough. I am very picky when it comes to makeup.

After I apply the foundation, I add a little concealer if needed and then dust some powder on top to set as my skin can get very oily.

I also prefer to apply my foundation after I apply any eye makeup to avoid fallout and making a mess.

The Perfect Pedicure

I kind of have a thing where I dont like people touching me. I hate for other people to do my hair. I do however get my nails done on occasion.

I do know how to do nails, acrylics and ect.. but sometimes its good to pamper yourself.

Never again!! (for me at least.. )

I was walking around the east village and decided on a whim to get a mani/pedi.

She did my nails using the dipping system. The overlay did come out very nice, but the french tips were crooked. But I'm always unhappy with the french tips when they paint them on. I prefer airbrush.

Anyway, when it was time for the pedi they did a half ass job. Even tho my feet are already nice and smooth other salons take more time. She did my french tips, which were better than my fingers so I was happy.

That is until a couple days later.

The overlay began to chip the second day and my second toe began to itch and burn.

I realized I was developing a mild case of athletes foot, so I ran to the drug store and got some Miconozole Nitrate spray. I covered my toe and surrounding areas with the spray and by the next day the itching and burning was gone.

I've gotten my nails done quite a few times at these shops but have never had such a bad experience because they are usually very professional and clean. But after that, never again will I put my soft, pretty feet in their basins. I will do it myself.

MarAnd313's at home Pedicure

If you would like to soak your feet you should do so at the beginning. Fill your foot spa with water and add a little olive oil and let your feet soak for about 20 min. This would be a good time for your SO to pamper you with a massage.
Use a callus blade on the heels and balls of your feet. Even though my feet are already smooth I still do this every time to make sure the dead skin does not build up. I like to do this on towel dried feet.
Massage your favorite lotion into your skin and a few drops of oil or cuticle cream into your cuticles.
Dry the nail with nail polish remover/acetone or alcohol to help prevent your polish from chipping.
Apply your favorite base coat, two layers of your color, and your favorite top coat and let dry for at least 10 minutes to prevent smudges.
Sometime when I wear sandals my heels get extra dry. What I do then is take some heavy creamy moisturizer and saran wrap and wrap my feet up and put a sock over it. I leave that on until I get tired of the plastic. The longer you leave it on the better. You can also get the socks that have jelly inside they work just the same.

When your done you should have soft smooth feet and pretty toes just like me!!

I do a full pedicure about once a month and touch up the nail polish as needed in between.

Tweezerman is the best brand and if you want quality that will last you go with this. I have seen cheaper versions available at sally's for about $2.

I wanted to do another look today. This time I thought that since I get tons of comments saying I look like Rhianna I might as well do a tutorial for one of her makeup looks. I always love Rhianna's makeup. Always flawless, creative, and fresh! I just might do a few more in the future.

I did not apply any foundation or concealor because of the heat and humidity. It is finally getting hot in my area! I dusted the Banana powder over my face and by the time I was finished applying the rest of my face I was shiny again. Next time I'll use MUFE HD powder to see how that hold up. My skin gets so greasy!

The pics are not very clear because I used my nikon coolpix (old camera) to take them. I have to buy a new SD card for my Canon PowerShot (New!) because all of a sudden it wont read any of the others I already have.. Grrr.. So many technical difficulties! But everything will be up and running very soon. I have HUGE plans in store!

Matte skin, Bold cheeks, Bright overdrawn lip. The eyes I would totally wear outside! lol. Anyway, heres my look!

LMFAO!! I have a smudge of black eyeliner on the side of my nose... eww

I don't know if overdrawn lips work for me... oh well. I like how natural her brows look which is why I filled mine in only a little and brushed them upward. I like thick brows, so what!

Freshwater Knight FOTD

Last night I attempted to go out...

I looked Fabulous! From head to toe! Cute hair, fly outfit, hot ass shoes!! And makeup was Bangin'! IMO
Sadly it was one of the worst nights I've had... ever... Oh well. I didn't even get INTO the club! People just do not know how to act once the weather warms up.. Ughh...
I took pics before I left! lol for a change! I'm a little upset because my SD card broke (kids) and it is not detected in my new camera (which I am still trying to learn how to use :P). I had to use my other camera to take the pics. The other cam does not flash any more for some reason...

Makeup Mania haul...

I have heard alot about La Femme blushes and decided that I wanted to try them out. I did some searches and for a few websites that sold them. They are actually incredibly cheap. I decided to purchase from Makeupmania.com

I also found some other things that I was also interested in purchasing for my kit from this site such as, Ben Nye Banana powder and a Japonesque emtly lip palette.

I made my order and got free shipping because it was over $100. I waited for it to come in the mail... I waited and waited... and waited....

I did call in to speak to someone.. Finally I received my package about a month later. They told me many of the items I ordered were on back order and they had to restock because of an overwhelming amount of orders of those particular products, mostly the La Femme blushes!!

Ok so, I cracked open my box to discover one of the items I ordered missing. Called them yet again to find out what was going on and finally just a few days ago I received all of the rest of the products that I ordered, over 2 months later... ughh...

The quality is good, so was the customer service even though I did have to play phone tag alot. All in all I would order from this company again but I would call and make sure that they had the products that I wanted in stock ahead of time to avoid what I experienced with this order... Call me crazy but some of their prices are unbeatable!

The blushes were $2.50 each. I got 22 of them! I do wish that they had a wider color range. I was looking for some darker shades of brown.. Maybe I'm being picky, they do have a TON of colors.. :P

I did my Friends makeup the other day and just thought that I should post pics.

I wanted to do something a little different because I have been kinda stuck in the same old ways.. Not that that is a bad thing but change is always good. I had a peachy mauve theme in mind as I was doing this. I really like how it turned out. For the lips I mixed a few things together to create a unique look.

I used 2 La Femme Blushes on her cheeks. These blushes are highly pigmented!!

So I recorded a few vids on my brushes and this one on my brush belts. Youtube is acting up way to much and has bee for the past week or so! It is literally taking an entire day to upload 5 min videos!!
I mean WTF!! It usually only takes 20-30 mins!!

I have recorded a bunch of vids and this one was the only one that I was able to get through. I have one more trying to upload right now and that one is saying 35 hrs...

Any way here are my brush belts... One from ebay, one from coastal scents. You can actually find both on ebay. I love the big one! So happy I found it!! I might even buy another one just because.. :P

So me and my girls went out last night and this is the look I did.

I'm way shiney (well more than usual) in these pics. Thats what happens after a night out!! Should have used matte gel to help reduce the shine. Will try that out next time and see how it holds up. ;) There is a HUGE pimple right between my eyebrows. I always get one there for some reason. But luckily my skin is clearing up somewhat. Back to using my Neutrogena! No more Clinique!! That stuff jacked my face up!!

Blast from the past!!- Color Pop! 2009 makeup look

Here is a look I did about a year ago. I just found these pics when I found my old camera and I thought it would be such a shame to waste them. I loved this look and it is wearable, as long as you are not afraid of color. If over done it can look a little clownish.. :P lol

I done remember all the products I used here, but I do remember using expensive pink and orgasm blush. I do believe the Hello kitty palette in Too Dolly was used and Vibrant grape e/s from Style Warriors. Not completely sure. The lipstick used was Fabby.

Makeup artist Brush Belts

I have purchased 2 different brush belts so far. On I got from coastal scents, the other from ebay.

I received the one from coastal scents first. It was really cute because it was a metallic dark purple, however it was tiny! I was not expecting for it to be that small. I tried it on and thought maybe I can work with it...

When I attempted to put in all of my brushes... Oh no it just was no happening! I could not fit all my brushes in the belt! And also some of the brushes were just too bug to fit in the pockets! WTF!

The next one arrived about a week later. I was pleasantly surprised! It was very well made and it was HUGE! It fit all of my brushes with room for more! It has a flap which is the main thing that drew me to this particular brush belt. Here is a pic of it loaded up with brushes...

It would have been nice for the coastal scents brush belt to a tad bit bigger but oh well... I guess I can use it for dirty brushes or eye/lip liners or whatever.. Im sure I will find a use for it.

Each one was around $20. The one from coastal scents was I believe $16.95 plus s&h. The one from ebay was about $18 and that included s&h.

Cherry Culture Haul

So I kinda went on a little online shopping spree and in this post I am going to show you what I got from cherry culture. Now I am a little pisses because a few days after I made this purchase they hosted a 20% off sale... Grrr I could have gotten more stuff!! :P
Oh well...

I got Pencils!!!

A few Amuse pencils. Now these were only $0.50 so I got one of each just to test them out. Some of them are ok but they are kinda dry and hard to apply. They are worth just as they are priced... Nuff said.

They are pretty pigmented though.

I also got some more NYX lip pencils. This completes my NYX Lip pencil collection, I have every single color! Yay! lol

I love NYX Lip pencils. They are actually the same quality as higher end pencils, such as MAC. When I bought my first MAC lip pencil, I thought... Whats all the hype?? They are the exact same consistency! Just as pigmented! But they cost $14, whereas NYX costs $1...

You choose.. lol

I also got 3 more NYX jumbo pencils in Hot pink, Orange, and Slate. (Not pictured) I can't wait to use the Slate one! Looks like it will make a Fab! smokey eye! ;)

Storing Makeup -Train Cases

As I began to buy more and more makeup I found that one of my biggest challenges was finding a place to store it all. At first my collection was small enough where I could just store it in a little makeup bag which spent its time in my bathroom cabinet.

My collection kept growing... I became interested in more then just greys and browns. So I went to walmart and got one of those little plastic drawers that you may see many people using. It was around $8 I think so not bad in price, It lasts a long time too, I bought it about 2 years ago and still have it somewhere.

The thing about a product like that was... I have kids! Something that they can reach for, pull down, and open up was really not practical. I used the drawer thingy for a little while until I discovered train cases. I did a little research on the different kinds out there and decided that Target was the best place for me to get one.

I got a really cute Caboodles makeup case with black lace covering it. I Love it! It is so cute and it has kept my makeup safe. It has locks on it also, keeps those tiny fingers away! I think the one I have is a 11" or 13". Its not as small as the ones they have on amazon.

They sell mine at Target and Walmart. Target did have a better selection. More colors and designs. They are priced the same at both stores, I think. Well they were when I bought mine over a year ago...

This thing has held up pretty good. It does feel a little flimsy but it has not fallen apart at all and I don't think it will.

This website has a good variety of traincases available. They are offering free shipping for the month of March! I found 3 that I am very interested in purchasing...

This one I have been eyeing ever for months! However, the price has stopped me from splurging. $250 for a soft duffel bag type traincase is a very steep price in my opinion....

I do like that it has a ton of different compartments and pockets but do not think I will buy it.

This is the next case that caught my eye. I like that it is all black and that it has the 2 sections.

This is the one that I think I will get first. It is the cheapest and I like how it is made.

The only issue I have right now is that...

I sent a message asking when they were restocking but still have not gotten a reply days later.. Does this say something about their customer service?? Hmmm... They have the same kind as the last one above on ebay for the same price however they do not have it in the color that I want. I seriously do not want a silver one... At all. So I am still in the process of building my kit and since I had the burning need to own every possible shade of foundation there could be I went ahead a purchased a few palettes from graftobian.com

I like the packaging, very simple and sleek. The brush is phenomenal! Makes for a very easy application. The mascara itself glides on with minimal clumping with the first coat. But only one coat is needed... I find when I try to apply more than one it does take a bit of work to remove any clumping.

I have tried both the pink (volume) and green (length) versions of this product. The pink tube is actually one of the very first mascaras that I have tried when I began doing makeup.

The results that I got from that mascara was crazy! I loved how thick and long my lashes were from using this product. With the green tube my lashes looked amazing also. Nice, thick and long!

However I do not love this mascara...

Dries hard
Can be difficult to remove
Sometimes can bleed onto lower lids
Often causes lashes to fall out

I love the way this mascara makes my lashes look, however after using it on a regular basis my lashes do tend to fall out. I previously discontinued the use of this mascara all together so that my lashes could grow back. This in my opinion is a HUGE downfall as I absolutely LOVE the look it gives the lashes.

On a positive note, I have found many other mascaras which give the same or better results but do not make my lashes fall out! YAY! :D

Would I repurchase this product- probably not.. :(

Blast from the past!!- Cult of cherry collection 2008

This collection had some lovely quads. There were 3 of them, Spiced Chocolate, Shadowy Lady, and Tempting. I skipped out on the tempting quad because I thought it was a little boring.

Rule! in the crease

The past few times that I have done my makeup I have been very drawn to using rule eyeshadow just above my crease line. Rule is a matte orange eyeshadow. Not many people seem to be drawn to the color orange for an eyeshadow. In fact I don't really like the color at all. But I have been playing with my makeup and have found oranges and colors one wouldn't normally wear to look the best! Now I have been doing very simple, kinda neutral makeup and adding rule just seems to make it POP and give it that extra edge!

You might not be able to see the colors very well in the picture below but I'm telling you it was lovely!

For this look I used:
Smoke & diamonds -e/s inner corner
Glamour Check! -outer half
Spiced Chocolate e/s -in the outer corner & into the crease
Saddle e/s & rule e/s -mixed above the crease
Soft Force -for a highlight
For lips:
Fabby l/s
Funtabulous l/g

I didn't wear any foundation or do my brows mostly because it does kinda look overwhelming for my taste during the daytime. Although I have done it before with no issues I was just not feeling it yesterday.. :P lol

If you are a woman of color try using colors like rule. It will warm up any look and give it that extra edge that you may be missing form your makeup that day. You will love it as much as I!!

PS. I promise to get another camera soon so that you can atually see what is going on with the makeup!! Because right about now the pics are washed out like crazy... I dont like it!!

Its way more vibrant & looks much better in real life. I NEED MY CAMERA!! LOL

I used UDPP as my base.

In the inner corner I applied Museum Bronze pigment with a 239 brush.

In the middle third I applied Trax e/s with the 239.

The outer corner I used Signed Sealed e/s packed on with a 239 brush then blended into the crease with a 217 and Rule e/s.

For highlight I used Ricepaper e/s with a 252 brush and also in the inner corner with a 219.

On the lower lash line I lined with Trax e/s and Signed Sealed e/s in the outer corner.

I blended Rule into the outer corner of the lower lash line.

I used Lash Blast mascara and Revlon colorstay liquid liner.
For the waterline I used L'oreal HIP kohl eyeliner.

I love the look I get when Rule e/s is used in the crease. You cant go wrong with a neutral look that has a pop of color! :)
I wil be getting a new camera soon so the pics will be much clearer.

Now I didn't do any tutorials for halloween this year but I did a lot of face painting on the kids and fam. My lady got a very pretty colorful butterfly painted on her face for halloween. A few of the others played around on youtube. :P

Now with this one I love it because it is different. I wanted to be something that no one else was at the time. So I looked around and I didn't find anyone who did anything like this. I downloaded some music from a few horror movies such as Saw, The Ametyville Horror, ect ect... Blending was insane with these 120 palette shadows!

Tiger Eyes

This one is my favorite one for sure. I hate the pics I took though. lol some of the edges weren't blended enough. The part closest to the hairline was still white... So many flaws but its all good. I believe that I have improved dramatically over the past year and a half. And so has youtube! There are the kinds of tutorials on there now that you would actually have to pay for a few years ago to learn. I always wondered how people did the things the did with makeup such as scaring, bruising. I already knew about liquid latex but had no clue what so ever about the gluesticks! :P

The sound was removed from 2 of these videos because of the major copyright issue that came about last year. :( But its ok.

Now I have never used a product like this. For my legs and pits I usually just shave, so this is kinda a foreign concept for me in a way. I pluck my eyebrows and have attempted to pluck my armpit hairs and bikini line when I get hair bumps. Did I mention that when I shave I get crazy hair bumps! No matter what I do they always come up and they hurt!

When I first found out about this type of product I ran for the hills because I do not like pain. I have since then become fed up with the hair bumps and started tweezing until I started to get tired of that also. As its very time consuming. I ended up coming back to trying to find the right epilator because it seemed to be the only solution besides waxing. I don't really like waxing because I can't do it myself. What really sold me was pursebuzz's video with this product. here and here

OK enough of that! On to the review!

My initial thoughts on this product:

The packaging was great! It came with a lot of information on the product, as well as a pouch to store it, and a brush.
When I first used it I tried it on my armpit. OMG! It was painful! I had to stop at first, but I kept going and found that the pain does lessen when you keep going.
On my arms & legs it was easy. It didn't hurt very much at all and it removed all the hair. My legs were silky smooth.
The bikini area was very painful. Much worse than the armpits and the legs put together. I do not use this on the bikini area unless absolutely necessary. I just keep that area trimmed low.
It is fast at removing the hair.

If you can handle the pain I say go for it! Me, I have been through labor 3 times so I know that I can handle this with no problem. I do recommend this epilator to anyone mostly because I have heard that others do hurt much worse than this one. :P

This product retails around $120. I got mine for a little less than $100 with free shipping form a seller on amazon.

All in all I absolutely love this product! Its fast and easy. It does hurt like hell on sensitive areas initially but after a while the pain subsides and it does the job.

Would I repurchase: Yes I would if I felt like I had to... :P

I bought mine on amazon last year. The prices have come down a bit since then. :)

I recently came across this site called inmykit.com. I first heard about it from makeupbyrenren and I rediscovered it from a current video on becoming a makeup artist by scandalousbeauty. HERE

I wanted to blog about it because I have discovered that if you stick to only high end makeup brands and forget about the cheap drugstore brands it will take much much longer to build a good kit for your makeup artistry. My kit is in no way complete and I have been collecting for quite some time now, a little over a year. I do have all the things that I need to do makeup for clients and I have not had any problems yet so far.

However, there is always room for improvement. I have had to improvise, create colors by mixing which is all fine and really can show how creative I can be but sometimes you are looking for a nice matte deep aqua blue color and the closest thing you have to it is way too shimmery.

Other than that I do have foundation but I do not have the shade range that I would need to do big jobs for all different types of skin tones and types. I have found that to be fine for now because not many people that I have done makeup for are even interested in foundation or blush for that matter.

Ok back on topic... This website gives products from each category that do the job & do it very well. No matter what the price tag or the name brand. Its good for the beginning makeup artist as well as the established one to find products that one normally would not have heard of.

A few of the foundation and concealor palettes are going to be among my first purchases from this sites recommendations.

And the one thing that really surprises me is the fact that not one MAC product is mentioned in any of the lists. :/ I love MAC as many others do but sometimes it can get way too overrated. There are some products that I absolutely HATE as well as those that I cant live without.

I got this product at the Cosmetic Company outlet store closest to me. Every time I go to the CCO the back of my hand and even up my forearm turns into swatch city! From pigments to pencils...

At the CCO they have this product there for the customers to use in order to remove whatever makeup they may need. I have used it every time I have been to the CCO and each time I was more amazed at how easily and quickly it removed every bit of whatever I had on my hands or arms. lol! So one day I ventured away from the MAC products and decided to see what Clinique, Estee Lauder, and other brands had to offer. This is one of the products that I picked up that day.

This is what the Estee Lauder claims this product does:

Quickly and gently removes all makeup, even long-wear or waterproof formulas.

Unique water-based creme-gel refreshes you with a crisp herbal citrus scent.

Rinses away easily and leaves skin feeling soft and smooth with no greasy afterfeel or oily residue.

My first impressions on this product are as follows:

This product removes everything easily and quickly. It dissolves all types of products from eyeliner to waterproof mascara. I LOVE that about this product!
It is a creamy gel like product and my first thought was that it needs to stay far far away from the eyes. However, I used the product in the eye area and it did not burn. I don't know if the product advises against that but I would suggest to anyone to use at your own discretion.
It does smell good without being overpowering. Thats a plus!
It wipes away easily with just some tissue.

A little bit goes a long way. I have had my bottle for months and have barely made a dent. I use it to remove eye makeup mostly. Foundation and things like that I just use a makeup wipe or a good face wash to get rid of the product and dirt. If you have sensitive eyes then I would advise against using it too close to the eye area.

Would I repurchase: Hell yes!

So far I have reviewed products that I have mostly good thing to say about. There are products that I absolutely hate and I will do a post in the near future about products that I suggest you to stay away from. k thx bye! LOL

There are a few collections by MAC that are coming out this holiday/winter that I am very much looking forward to. The packaging on some of the items are to die for!

MAC- Mischief Makers

The packaging for this collection is so sexy! I want to buy two of each type of set just to use it as decoration on my dresser. lol

I just hope that the boxes are nice and sturdy, ie. not made of cardboard! :P It looks like the base is but the top I hope not.

MAC- Warm & Cozy

This collection looks very interesting. I cant wait to see the 2 new MSFs! Spiced tea, modelette, and milled cider are definitely on my list to check out so far. Light that fire! lipglass sounds simply beautiful! I'm going to have to cop that one. :)

I cant wait to see this collection plain and simple. The colors sound lovely and since judging by its title the colors should be perfect for any skin tone!

The wedding!

So today was a CRAZY one!! I had to finish up someones hair, which did not come out as neat as I would have liked because I was having a terrible asthma attack! I was so messed up but I didn't want to leave her hanging... :P I pushed on! lol

It turned out good & she got a lot of compliments.

Aside from the hair, I was running around like a mad woman and was running way late as was everyone else. The wedding started 2.5 hrs after everyone got there!

So when I got there I got down to business. I did a few of the bridesmaids makeup. The rest did their own or didnt want makeup. The bride had another makeup artist because of the shambles stated previously and because everyone was rushing she thought I wasn't coming. :/ I got there in enough time. To bad I didn't get to do hers cause my girls makeup looked way better than everyone else's.. lol And my girls got the most compliments! The bride said that my girls looked better than everyone in the wedding!

I didn't get hardly any good pics but I will do a tutorial of what I did. The bouquet shown above was an actual bouquet from the wedding. The wedding was beautiful. I loved the color scheme! Its was fabulous! I did the makeup to follow along with the color scheme of the wedding. I did everyones makeup a little different than the last in order to go along with their skin tone, face, and eye shape. Those who had lashes got lashes. They all looked FAB!!

All in all it was a success! The wedding was gorgeous! I was happy to be a part of it! :)

I am doing my cousins wedding this weekend! I am very happy to be a part of it! However some may dought my abilities and assume that I lack professionalism. :P Too bad you don't have to get your makeup done by me! lol But everyone else will look fabulous!!

I have done makeup for people so please believe that I know what I am doing. And what they don't realize is that you do not need to be licensed in order to be a freelance makeup artist.

However, I aside from that I am very excited to be the one doing the makeup! I cant wait! If she says its ok I will most definitely be posting pictures! I'm going to be doing a demo for her tonight and I hope she is as excited about it as I am!! XD

I changed the layout. I really like this one but there are a few more bugs to work out. I have to figure out the pictures and the links at the top of the page. Other than that, YAY my makeup blog is up and running!! :D

L'oreal HIP Kohl eyeliner - a review

I just purchased this product in the color black. It is a kohl powder eyeliner and it comes in a cute little bottle. When you open it up it has a felt tip applicator very similar to the l'oreal linear intense liquid eyeliner, which I do like very much.

This product comes in several different colors including brown, blue, gold, burgundy, & teal.

My first impressions & thoughts:

I love the wand applicator that this comes with. It is easy to use this to apply the product to the lash line as well as the water line, upper & lower.
The product itself is a powder which can be messy at first. It takes some getting used to as with many things. Because of this there may be some fallout and it can smudge onto the lower lash line. In most cases that is not bad, just adds a sexy smokey effect.
When applying sometimes the powder can get into the eyes, which can be a bit irritating. I just squeezed my eyes shut for a few moments and by doing that the chunks of product blended out onto the waterline. It was fine after that.
It does go on dark, but its not that intense black that I look for in an eyeliner. This is fine because it makes up for it in other ways.
This product is great for the water line because it lasts an extremely long time! I applied it at around 3-4 in the afternoon & the liner stayed put did not fade smudge or anything at all, until the next morning when I wiped it off! Thats crazy! I slept in it purposefully to see if it would fade because nothing usually lasts well overnight for me. This sucker did not budge!!

I love this for the waterline! For the lash line not so much only because it is not black black. If they brought out an 'extreme black' shade I would be happy! It has wonderful staying power! I mean how many eyeliners last that long?!? I have been trying to find one that I wouldn't have to reapply every hour, I thing I've found it. ;)

I dont like how the powder can get into the eyes. Yesterday I felt like I had something in there for at least an hour!

All in all it is a great product. You may just have to get used to it at first.

Would I repurchase: Hell yes!

Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara- a review

The product that I will be reviewing today will be Rimmel London's Sexy Curves Full Volume & Curve mascara.

This is what Rimmel claims its product will do:

First impressions & thoughts of this product:

I love the packaging! The metallic purple tube & the shape of it is so pretty imo. The waterproof version is a metallic turquoise color.
The brush is very interesting. At first I thought the shape of the brush was going to cause the mascara to go on clumpy but no. The short bristles apply the mascara giving it volume while the longer ones separate the lashes very well.
The mascara itself has a very good formula. It kinda reminds me of Covergirl Lashblast. It thickens nicely and gives added length at the same time. I bit more volume than lashblast though.
I got it in the shade "extreme black" & I can say that I am happy that it does go on very black. Its lovely. I did give me the kind of look I want in a mascara.
After wearing this mascara for several hours I have not experienced any flaking.
I rubbed my eye as I usually do when I forget that I am wearing makeup and the mascara did not budge. I usually smear it and have to grab a wet wipe to clean it up. I was very impressed by this!

As far as the claims the company makes for this product:

I didn't really notice that it actually curled my lashes.
It did give volume and length but we all know how cosmetic companies like to exaggerate in order to make their sale. I wouldn't say it amplified anything 7x at all... maybe 3-4x :P

Overall I really enjoyed this particular mascara. As stated I love the packaging, I really like the shape of the brush wand. It is really unique. I said that the formula reminds me of Cover Girl Lash Blast and it is actually a little better. The last blast did flake on me after hours of wear. I look for a mascara to last and it did but not as well I would like. So far I have had sexy curves on for about 8hrs now. I have rubbed my eyes, there has been no fading, flaking, or smearing. It does not clump the lashes are flexible to the touch, no stiffness!

I thought I loved lash blast... This is WAYYY better!! Sexy curves has taken its place! XD

Would I rebuy: Hell yes!

This blog is going to be all about MAKEUP! I will be posting HAULS and looks that I have done here mostly because I need a new computer & don't want to buy one right now because I have other bills! I want to get an i MAC or a Macbook don't know which one I will actually get yet but we will see in the future.

My dad broke my laptop. Thanks alot!! My desktop that was actually good caught a virus! & the desktop that has been in the closet for over a year is not youtube friendly. :(
Too bad so sad..

The first post I will make will be my makeup collection so far which is mostly MAC which I love!
Not tonight though.. I tired <3
